Show Notes:
This was the first time I ever performed at City Market, and I have to say, it's already made it's way into my top 3 favorite open mics. The only reason I'm not putting it at #1 on my list is because I've only played here once. I'm fully expecting my next performance here to be similar, and if that's the case, it's taking my top spot immediately. The crowd here is amazing. One of the absolute best crowds I've ever played for. They are grateful, into the music and lively. The venue is basically a deli that gets fully converted into a live music venue on the second Saturday of every month..complete with a stage, lighting rig, sound guy and backdrop curtain. It's a truly amazing transformation. The place gets incredibly packed to the brim right around 7:30pm, and because it's a BYOB, the place gets really rowdy and lively as the night goes on. I played to a packed house of at least 30-40 people crammed into this place eager to hear every note and nuance. They loved me here, and I think I may have received the best overall response I've ever had from any gig I've ever played. The support was truly phenomenal. The evidence is clear on this tape and recording, you can hear the crowd going nuts not only after every song, but even during the songs, especially hooting and hollering during the breakdown section of "Stranded". Also brought back "The Edge" after quite some hiatus. Cannot wait to come back and keep building what I've started here . Enjoy!
